PARTNER - LED ACTIVITIES
Myanmar Agri-food Week 2026 is being developed through a distributed leadership model. Rather than being organized as a single centralized conference, MAW invites organizations including private sector to co-design and lead Partner-led Activities (PLAs) that reflect their mandates, technical strengths, operational experience, and stakeholder networks within a shared platform framework.
Each activity is expected to provide practical access to a specific part of the agri-food system — such as markets, quality and compliance systems, production and processing environments, innovation solutions, finance, coordination platforms, or community-level realities.
These activities will take place during 12–15 October 2026, creating a week-long learning arc before the flagship Food Systems Forum 2026 on 16 October. Insights, constraints, opportunities, and lessons emerging from partner-led activities will help inform the shared synthesis at the Forum, ensuring that the final dialogue is grounded in real experience rather than abstract discussion.
Examples of recommended Partner-led Activities
Site visits and open houses
Provide access to farms, laboratories, processing facilities, markets, warehouses or other operational environments.
Technical and market exchanges
Bring together producers, businesses, experts and development actors to explore practical constraints, requirements and innovative solutions.
Demonstrations and innovation showcases
Present technologies, practices, services or operating models with potential relevance to Myanmar’s agri-food system.
Workshops and coordination dialogues
Create focused spaces for joint problem-solving, evidence exchange, partnership development or system coordination.
Activities may contribute to areas such as market access, food safety and quality, operational resilience, innovation, inputs, regional linkages, systems coordination, and the inclusion of women and youth.
